The bondi are the bulk of any Viking raiding force. They are the men and women that, through the winter months, are running things at home. They are the common villagers; the blacksmith, the cobbler, the fletcher, the traders and all those who do all the jobs to keep their homes and village running smoothly. Then in Spring, they will join their Jarl on a raid looking for plunder. The bondi are the bulk of any Viking raiding force. Then in Spring, they will join their Jarl on a raid looking for plunder. The strongest from each home; typically, a father and his eldest son would leave the rest of the household to maintain the trade while they are away. These raids are vital to maintaining their livelihoods; new anvils, mead, grain, tools and leather are gained through trading the loot they acquire.

Since they are mostly peasants it is very unlikely that they will have armour. Leather Jerkins would be a luxury to have and any heavier armour or weapons they own are family heirlooms. Many of their weapons will be the tools of their trade that are also suited to battle. Axes have changed their intended target from firewood to flesh and bone. Spears and bows and arrows, from hunting game to hunting the targets of the raid.

This pack contains two 32mm scale miniatures, with 30mm round plastic bases included.
